Akesan Inferno: Ologburo Sympathises With Aláàfin, Oyo Town indigenes

The Oyo born socialite, Chief  Babatunde Ologburo has joined thousands of people in sympathizing with the victims of the inferno that raised down the entire ancient Akeesan Market of Oyo town.

The sad incident happened during the midnight of Sunday, 5th January, 2020, and many properties were lost to the terrible incident; fire outbreak.

In a Press Statement made available to the newsmen in Ibadan, the Samoriadinni of Oyo Land sympathized with Alaafin of Oyo and the entire Oyo land on the sad occurrence.

The distinguished Samoriadinni of Oyo Land, Chief Babatunde Ologburo wishes to commiserate with the Aláàfin of Oyo Kingdom, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Ikú Baba Yeye, the major and critical stakeholders of Oyo Kingdom and the entirety of the good people of Oyo town over the fire incident that gulf our prestigious, ambiguous and beautiful Akesan Market, also called the "Baale Oja"

In a statement personally signed by him, the Chief Executive of Quickborn  Nigeria Limited describes the inferno as unfortunate, disheartening, painful and saddening.

According to Him, He said " The gory scene of the fire incident is a disheartening and for everyone who knows how mighty, gigantic, resourceful and strategic the market is to Oyo township and the Yoruba race, this is just a bad one too many"

He also prayed for the repose of the soul of the person that died while the security operatives were trying to bring the situation under control.

He prayed for Almighty Allah's relief and restoration for everyone who lost properties, livelihood, investments and businesses in the fire incident .

He also called on well to do Nigerians, not necessarily from OYO town and environs to rise and help the victims of the disheartening incidence.

He prayed for the Aláàfin of Oyo Kingdom and all other traditional, spiritual, political, social and economic leaders of Oyo Kingdom that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss and the grace to rebuild Akesan, Baale Oja.
