Olufunke Fasoranti's Death, Osinbajo Visits Ondo, Condole With The Family

VP Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu and Pa Reuben Fasoranti 

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has on early Sunday paid a condolence visit to the family of the murdered Afenifere leader's; Pa Reuben Fasoranti daughter in Akure, Ondo State.

While addressing people present at the country home of the Elder's statesman and Afenifere Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, "The federal government has met with the security chiefs on community policing with a view to addressing spate of  kidnappings and killings in the country."

It should be recalled that, Pa Fasoranti's fifty-eight years old daughter Mrs Olufunke Olakunri was murdered by unknown gunmen along Lagos-Ore highway on Friday last week.

The Vice President who arrived  the Elderstateman residence alongside his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Senator Obafemi Ojudu and Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State  said "the police would be trained and posted to their respective local government area for intelligence gathering"

Professor Osinbajo who described the incident as tragic said more military presence and helicopters would be deployed on  the roads to ensure better security of lives and property of  citizens

The Vice President who also sympathized  with the husband of the deceased, Mr Idowu Olakunri, gave an assurance of  government's commitment to making the current ugly situation a thing of the past.
