As part of her commitment towards fortifying the security of lives and valuables of those within Oyo Central, Senator Monsurat has received commendations for her significant contribution towards the newly built police station in Orugbangba, Oki, Egbeda Local Government.
Police deployed to the relatively new settlement have faced challenges, primarily in form of absence of a police station, which can be demoralising for those entrusted to maintain law and order. On hearing the yearning of constituents, Sunmonu made efforts to rectify the situation.
While thanking the people of Egbeda for their unwavering support, the Senator also admonished the Police to imbibe strong ethics in carrying out their duties and to remember they are working for the people.
You will recall that the Police Reform Bill which is aimed at addressing some nascent issues received strong backing from the Oyo Central Senator during Senate debate. She also gave assurances of strong support for the Bill to ensure passage into law.
